Josh Newman
FOUNDER & CEO
Josh serves as CEO of A3 Health, and as a partner at A3 Labs. He has spent nearly three decades founding and scaling companies in technology, investment, and high-performance physical fitness.
Previously, he worked as a tech VC at Outlier Capital and the Silicon Ivy Venture Fund, founded the early internet companies Sharkbyte and Powerdime.com, and started CrossFit NYC, the first CrossFit gym on the East Coast (and eventually the largest one in the world).
Josh holds a dual BS in Neuroscience and Computer Science from Yale University and lives in NYC with his partner Jess and their rescue dog, Coltrane.
Andrew Newman, MD
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
Dr. Newman is an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, and practices at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, where he specializes in Pulmonary, Undersea, and Sports Medicine.
He served as Chairman of Stanford University’s Health Information Management Committee for over 25 years, overseeing the use of computers for clinical activity, and sits on the medical advisory boards of health technology companies including Epic and Cerner.
His research at Yale University School of Medicine and Scripps Institution of Oceanography has focused on oxygen utilization and cardiopulmonary reflexes, and he has cared for a variety of Olympic and professional athletes.
Dr. Newman received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his internship, residency, and Pulmonary fellowship at Stanford University.
